Lucifero’s Lighting for the new Istituto Marangoni Headquarters

Tradition and Avant-garde: Lucifero’s lighting for the new Istituto Marangoni headquarters

In the heart of Milan, Istituto Marangoni chose the magnificence of Palazzo Turati to expand its spaces dedicated to design excellence. Within this late 19th-century Neo-Renaissance setting, where historical architecture meets creative avant-garde, Lucifero’s delivered a lighting project capable of creating a dialogue between a monumental past and the demands of contemporary education.

The restyling has brought to life over 2,000 square meters of laboratories, drawing studios, and exhibition areas. The challenge for Lucifero’s was twofold: to respect the soul of a historic palace while simultaneously providing high-level technical lighting—essential for students working in Visual, Interior, and Product Design.

The Archi-tech lighting philosophy is expressed here in its purest form. Inside the halls of Palazzo Turati, light is not merely a service, but a design element that defines volumes and ensures perfect color rendering, which is vital for working with materials and colors. Each lighting fixture was integrated with discretion, enhancing the ceilings and historical proportions without ever being invasive.

Collaborating with Istituto Marangoni in such an iconic location means participating in the training of tomorrow’s designers. With this intervention, Lucifero’s confirms its ability to transform a historical building into a technological and inspirational ecosystem, where light becomes the invisible thread connecting Milan’s artistic heritage to the future of design.
